CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Classes are intensive and meet for the whole day. Schedules may vary from the printed schedule due to special requirements of field trips. In BIOL 3622, students camp for 6 nights in southwestern Nova Scotia. In BIOL 3626, students camp for 2-4 days on Brier Island. Other classes will involve only day trips from the university.
Please check the class description and consider your personal schedule before making a decision to take a class. Contact the instructor of the class if you want more information about its schedule.
These classes carry auxiliary fees to cover field expenses. The auxiliary fees are in addition to the regular tuition for a half-credit class. The total fees listed in the spring and summer timetable include the auxiliary "field expense" part as well as the tuition part, and thus are higher than the fees for a regular lecture or lab class. A non-refundable deposit equal to one third of the auxiliary fee is required to reserve a place in a given class AND to obtain permission to register. Registration for summer classes begins in February 26, 2010 on Dal Online.
